Portable Resistive DC Load Banks, DC Load Banks by Mosebach Resistors

Our DC Load Banks would typically be packaged in one of our PortaBank™ or MegaBank™ enclosures. Other enclosures would be used if necessary. All of our load banks are fully operational, extremely durable, lightweight and portable so that they can easily be moved from site to site to handle all of your load requirements. Our products are designed and manufactured to be able to withstand vibration, shock, tough working conditions and high temperatures! Mosebach’s resistors are the toughest and the best on the load bank market!

Testing Voltages: DC load banks can be designed to test all DC voltages (please contact us with your exact specifications and requirements i.e. V, A, kW and minimum load step).

Enclosure & Portability: Typically our enclosures are made of heavy-duty, electro-statically powder coated, scratch resistant, sheet metal with casters or wheels and lifting provisions for easy lifting and maneuvering. Air inlet and outlet openings are protected by expanded metal screens. Heat will typically be discharged horizontally. Additional enclosure options are available.

Controls: Standard controls, mounted on the load bank include the following:

Two digital meters with LED display capable of measuring DC volts and DC amperes.
One master ON/OFF 22mm switch.
One blower ON/OFF 22mm switch.
One voltage selection 22mm switch.
Multiple ON/OFF toggle switches for each load step for individual control.
Air flow indicator lamps.
Over temperature indicator lamp.
Test jacks (+) and (-).

Resistors: SlimLine™ resistors consisting of a stamped stainless steel plate held in place with mica insulators. 2-year warranty.

Rating: Continuous duty.

Control Power: 120V, single phase, 50/60Hz is typically taken from the fan power.

Cooling: Mosebach’s resistive elements are cooled by integrally-mounted, low-noise highvolume blowers. The blower power is typically externally supplied by client.

Load Connections: CAM-lock type, color coded rated for 400A each; (+) and (–).

Contactors: Heavy duty DC Contactors will be used to break the (+) side.

Safety Features: Branch circuit fusing, an airflow pressure sensor, an over temperature sensor and ground lug.
