Case
The enclosure is constructed of a rugged, metal case. The HotBox™ is about as big as a medium size toolbox or a carry-on piece of luggage (33" x 13" x 22.5"). All units are lightweight - 65 lbs. for 10, 15 and 20 kW units and 75 lbs. for 30 kW units. Two large 10” rubber tires and a pulling handle allow for easy movement and maneuverability. The case has two side handles for easy lifting. The rectangular design allows for the unit to be stored on-end to save space.

Fan Assembly
Quiet, centrifugal blower allows normal workplace conversation. High outlet air velocity allows for greater air throw, bringing the room to temperature quickly.

Controls
The controls are located on the back of the unit and are recessed to prevent accidental damage. A combination blower on/off switch and thermostat are included, allowing for room temperatures from 30°F to 120°F. The unit can also be operated in the “blower only” position. Each unit includes a magnetic contactor and an auto-reset overtemperature switch. No additional power required.

Power Connection: Is located on the back of the unit and is recessed to prevent accidental damage. Mating connector body is required for easy and safe connection to the power source.

Safety Guards
Inlet guards are constructed of metal and are able to withstand high impacts. The outlet is protected by an aluminum egg crate-style guard backed with wire mesh.

Heating Assembly
HotBox™ uses Mosebach’s unique SlimLine™, a continuous resistor ribbon that contains no welds with low mass, high surface area element. This design exhibits excellent heat transfer characteristics, resulting in faster air temperature rise and rapid heater cool off. This design has been proven on many load bank applications. We have now adapted the technology for use in small, portable electric heaters.
