Enclosure: The SRMLB2x5208Sph and SRMLB2x5240Sph Server Rack Mounted Load Banks are placed in a heavy-duty, sheet metal enclosure with two handles. The air inlet and outlet are protected by two expanded metal screens. Heat is discharged horizontally. These load banks are built as 2 x 5 kW load banks, individually operated, in the same enclosure.

Dimensions: L = 22”; W = 19”; H = 10.25”; (19” rack, “6U”)

Control Power: 120V, single phase, 60Hz internally supplied from the test load, or it can be externally supplied by client.

Controls: The following control features are mounted on the load bank:
  • Two master/blower ON/OFF 22mm switches placed in the front of the unit.
  • Multiple ON/OFF toggle switches for each load step for individual control are placed in the front of the unit.
  • Two overtemperature indicator lamps are placed in the front of the unit.
  • Two load ON indicator lamps are placed in the front of the unit.
  • One 208/120V control/blower voltage 22mm selector switch is placed in the back of the unit.

Resistive Load Elements: Our Slimline™ technology utilizes a continuous stainless steel ribbon to eliminate all welds. By eliminating welds, hot spots are also eliminated. To reduce the operating temperature, no through bolts are used, and a parallel element system reduces the watt density. Finally our resistors are designed to withstand vibration, and breakable parts like ceramics insulators are not used. All this will result in maximum operating life of our resistors.

Every Slimline™ is fully supported by solid, non-conductive mica panels on the top and bottom to eliminate caving and the breakage of resistors. In addition, every resistor assembly is fully supported by the resistor assembly underneath it. The kW at each step is subject to a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 5%.

Customer Connections: Two sets of terminal blocks are placed in the back of the unit.

Blower Voltage: 120V, single phase, 60Hz, taken from the load power or can be externally supplied.

Blower/s: Two single inlet, low noise, 55dBA, 6” axial fans.

Safety Features: Branch circuit fuses, overtemperature sensors.
